Lets spice up the breakfast routine!
Ingredients
- Soft, white sandwich bread - 8 small slices
- Eggs - 3
- Milk - 3 tbsp
- Granulated sugar - 1/3 cup
- Ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
- Butter - 1 tbsp (for greasing the pan)
- Bread crumbs - 1/8 cup
For the filling
Apples, strawberries, grapes, cream cheese, or nutella (Let your imagination run amok here!)

Preparation
- Remove the crust of the bread from all sides
- Flatten the bread slices with a rolling pin
- Whisk the eggs and milk in a shallow bowl and keep aside
- In a separate shallow bowl mix the sugar, bread crumbs and cinnamon powder and keep aside
- Spread 1-2 tbsp of your filling on one end of your slice and roll it into the remaining half of the slice (repeat the same with the remaining slices of your bread)
- Heat your pan and grease it with a little butter
- Now dip each of your roll into the egg mix and roll it in the sugar-cinnamon mix
- Place them in a pan in batches and cook until golden brown turning them to cook on all sides
- You could roll the cooked pieces again in the sugar-cinnamon mix one final time
- They are now ready to serve (or munch yourself)!!
A little twist for the spice lovers - Rolls with broccoli and cheese!
Ingredients
- White sandwich bread - 8 slices
- Eggs - 3
- Water - 2-3 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Mixed herbs - 1tsp
- butter, for greasing the pan
- Bread crumbs - 1/4 cup
For the filling - Baked Broccoli (any other exoctic veggie) and Cheese
Preparation
- Cut the crust of the bread from all sides
- Flatten the bread slices with a rolling pin
- Whisk the eggs, spices, salt and with a little water in a shallow bowl and keep aside
- In a separate shallow bowl take the bread crumbs(and more spices) and keep aside
- Spread about 1-2tbsp of your chosen filling on one end of your slice and roll up ( repeat the same with the remaining slices of your bread)
- Heat your pan and grease it with a little butter
- Now dip each of your roll into the egg mix and roll it in the bread crumb mix
- Place them in a pan in batches and cook until golden brown turning them to cook on all sides
- Dress it by sprinkling a little oregano
